Terms of Service

By accessing or using GoASL you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

GoASL is an ASL teaching and learning platform for educational institutions. Students record video of themselves performing ASL interpretation (simultaneous or consecutive mode), submit assignments, and receive grades and feedback from teachers. Teachers create classes and assignments, review submissions, and provide text or video feedback. When enabled by the instructor, peer review allows students to review assigned classmates' submissions. Use of the platform is intended for authorized users of participating institutions.

You must be at least 13 years of age to use GoASL. By creating an account you represent that you are 13 years of age or older. If you are under 13, you may not use this service.

You must provide accurate information when you register and keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us if you believe your account has been compromised.

You may use GoASL only for lawful educational purposes in line with your institution's policies. You may not misuse the platform, attempt to access other users' data without authorization, upload malicious content, or use the service in any way that violates applicable law or these Terms.

You retain ownership of content you create (e.g., your video submissions). By submitting content you grant us a license to store, display, and process it as needed to operate the service. GoASL's platform, branding, and technology remain our intellectual property.

GoASL is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Your use of the service is at your own risk.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of GoASL. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you or your institution paid for the service in the twelve months preceding the claim, if any.

We or your institution may suspend or terminate your access to GoASL for violation of these Terms, for institutional policy reasons, or for other operational reasons. Upon termination, your right to use the service ends. Data handling after termination is governed by our Privacy Policy and any agreement with your institution.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Finland. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Finland, to the extent permitted by law.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will be revised when we make changes. Continued use of GoASL after changes means you accept the updated Terms. For material changes we may provide additional notice where appropriate.
